September 29, 2024 at 11:06 pmI was going to avoid posting but I’m extremely dissapointed. Beware. I took my car to Thompson’s Garage on September 12th and was initially told that the parts needed for the repair would arrive within 48 hours. I learned on September 19th that the parts had supposedly been picked up by the mechanic’s spouse that day. We asked for updates multiple times. On 9/24 we were told we would receive an update on 09/25. No update came. I reached out again on the 26.
The repairs were supposed to address a blown head gasket, but they also mentioned that during test drive the charge pipe clamp had mysteriously fallen off the car. They had to repair that too and then also informed us that a spark plug and a coil went out and had to fix that as well. After 15 days in the shop, we finally got the car back on September 27th with a total bill of about $4,700. Unfortunately, just two days later, the car started leaking fluid again. To make matters worse, when my husband picked up the car, the mechanic who handed it over reeked of liquor, which raised serious concerns about the quality and safety of the work performed.
Overall, this experience was incredibly disappointing, and I would strongly advise others to steer clear of Thompson’s Garage. We will not be returning.
